Leaders in Safeguarding Gold Award
tend has been awarded the prestigious Leaders in Safeguarding GOLD Award. Just 5% of training providers across the country have achieved this accolade, marking an incredible milestone for the organisation.
Key strengths recognised in the award include:
- Highly effective safeguarding processes understood and trusted by staff and learners
- A detailed and transparent safeguarding log, supported by the Tootoot recording system
- Robust, safer recruitment practices and a well-organised single central record
- A strong culture that keeps safeguarding at the forefront of strategic planning
- Highly effective induction training and annual safeguarding refreshers for all staff
- Empowered learners who can confidently identify risks and know how to act
Following a rigorous independent audit, the Gold Award was granted with no recommendations for improvement. This is a rare accomplishment that highlights the organisations’ clear and transparent culture, highly effective safeguarding practices, and unwavering commitment to learner and staff welfare.
Safeguarding excellence across every aspect of tend
Operating across more than 100 local authorities in England and Scotland, tend, and its sister brands within Impact Futures Group, support well over 7,000 learners in health and social care, childcare, management, and first aid training. Safeguarding excellence runs through every level of each of the brands, with a 12-strong safeguarding team meeting monthly to review cases, share best practice, and drive continual improvement.
“Your safeguarding arrangements have been thoroughly examined and quality assured by our Scrutiny and Validation Panel,” commented Dr Dan Grant, Director of Safeguarding at Leaders in Safeguarding. “We are delighted to award GOLD status to tend™, recognising a strong safeguarding culture where learners and staff are protected and supported.”
“This award reflects our absolute commitment to safeguarding as the foundation of everything we do,” Becki Lee, Quality Director and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Impact Futures Group added. “I’m incredibly proud of our team for their dedication and relentless focus on protecting and empowering every learner and colleague. Together, we will continue to lead the way in safeguarding excellence.”
