How much can you claim?
Employers can currently receive up to £4,000 for every apprentice they hire.
This includes:
- £3,000 incentive for each apprentice you recruit, regardless of age
- £1,000 additional payment if the apprentice is aged 16–18, or 19–24 with an Education, Health & Care (EHC) plan, or if they have been in the care of their local authority
These payments are made directly to your business bank account in two instalments. The first after 90 days, and the second after 365 days. This is provided the apprentice remains in post for at least a year.
When and how to apply
Rest assured, the process is straightforward. Simply register for a Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account, and submit your claim before the published deadline dates.
