Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care overview
The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is a nationally recognised qualification for care workers seeking to advance their skills and responsibilities. It provides learners with the competence to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care in a variety of adult care settings, including residential homes, domiciliary services and community-based support.
Learners develop a strong understanding of safeguarding adults, duty of care, health and safety, equality and inclusion, and person-centred care principles. The programme also builds communication and leadership skills, preparing learners to take on greater responsibility in supervising staff and supporting service users with complex needs.
Delivered over 9 months, the diploma combines structured online learning with practical application in the workplace. A minimum of two face-to-face observations will be conducted in the learner’s care setting to confirm practical competence.
