Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship

Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship
Course Overview
The Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship empowers learners to make a real difference in their communities—helping people lead healthier lives and tackling health inequalities head-on. Throughout the programme, learners gain the knowledge, confidence and communication skills to support individuals, families and groups in making positive, informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
Delivered over 16 months, the apprenticeship blends online and face-to-face learning tailored to each learner’s role following an initial assessment. Progress is tracked through Aptem, our e-portfolio system, ensuring learners feel supported and have clear milestones throughout their journey. The programme covers key areas such as communication, health literacy, emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, behaviour change and the wider factors that influence health, alongside practical experience in community engagement, partnership working and signposting to local services.
Assessment takes place through an independent End-Point Assessment (EPA), which typically includes a portfolio of evidence, a professional discussion and a work-based project showcasing the learner’s skills and impact.
