tend awarded 2-Star accreditation from Best Companies

Contents

UK training provider, tend, has achieved a prestigious 2-Star accreditation from Best Companies – a leading employee engagement specialist, delivering powerful data and insights to help positive change within the workplace.

The 2-Star accreditation is Best Companies’ second-highest standard of workplace engagement. It reflects organisations truly striving to be the best they can be. To achieve a 2 Star accreditation, and organisation needs to score at least 696.5. A score that high indicates an ‘outstanding’ commitment to engagement in the workplace.

This is the first time tend has been assessed in this way. To score this high presents a real milestone for the company. In fact, a top-rated 3 star was almost achieved!

Best Companies: a brief history

Founded by CEO Jonathan Austin, Best Companies accreditation is synonymous with the gold standard of workplace engagement and employee satisfaction.

Following a rush of inspiration at a conference in the year 2000, Austin sought to create a methodology for analysing and measuring the culture and attitudes inside a workplace. His hope was to determine the elements which contribute to healthy, happy work environments – a scale by which excellence could be measured.

In partnership with University of Plymouth academics, Austin did just that. The inaugural Best Companies to Work For list was published in 2001. Since then, Best Companies has continuously evolved, developing its precision data reporting capabilities.

Today, not only do they measure workplace engagement in depth, but they help companies of all sizes to enhance it, celebrating and sharing best organisational practices, so everyone can be happier at work.

A happy, healthy workplace

  • F stands for ‘Fun’: What’s work without fun? We’re committed to ensuring that our operational success is an enjoyable journey for everyone.
  • E stands for ‘Experts’: We don’t just hire employees, we hire experts. Experts deliver excellence. In turn we invest in the development and growth of our teams.

As an employer, we value and appreciate our people. That’s why, in addition to upholding these values, we offer an extensive range of employee benefits, which have recently been enhanced.

We are incredibly proud of our Best Companies accreditation. To achieve a 2-star rating from our first evaluation is more than encouraging. We’re all delighted with where we are. That said, we will continue to innovate, and strive to develop and improve as we expand and evolve as a business.” Simon Rouse, CEO, tend
